The Morrison Public School system, its students, faculty, staff and facilities are the cornerstone of progress being made in the Morrison Community.  An aligned curriculum focusing on core subject matter and the initiative to meet and exceed regional and state standards are the foundation of a growing community and school district.

In the 2005-2006 school year, Morrison 3rd, 4th and 5th grades students scored well above the state averages and surpassed the averages of surrounding districts according to the Oklahoma Department of Educations School Report Card.

Continued community support and enrollment growth have prompted school administration and board members to begin construction of a new multi-million dollar Events Center to be located near the community sports complex on State Highway 64.  The April 2006 bond initiative to fund the construction of the center passed a district election with over 80% of the district voting in favor of the Center.  This will be the fourth bond initiative passed and paid for by the patrons of the Morrison Public School District in the last 25 years.

The Morrison community and its citizens value education and take great pride in the quality of the public school system which builds the future our community. Since its inception, Morrison Public Schools have not had a bond initiative fail.  Three new brick academic and classroom facilities have been built within the past 15 years and the events center will serve as a tremendous compliment to the many opportunities available to the youth of the community in athletics as well as arts.

The many distinguished accomplishments listed above underscore the success of MHS and its students.  We invite you to look through the numerous links highlighted throughout this page for more information and a first hand look at the progress being made through education in the Morrison Community.
