Poppy arrangements are made to be placed in area churches over Memorial Day weekend. The “Story of the Poppy” inserts for the church bulletin are provided for all the area churches. This is a project that the unit looks forward to doing each year.
The American Legion Christie-Jones Unit #343 Auxiliary is privileged each year to cooperate with the Morrison School to provide a Veterans’ Day Program in conjunction with the American Legion Post for the community and school. All Veterans and their families are invited and are treated to a luncheon afterwards.
The American Legion Christie-Jones Unit #343 Auxiliary has one major fund raiser each year. It is the St. Patrick’s Day Baked Potato Dinner and Bingo. Local support is part of its success each year.
